 Students. Education needs to be student-centered not system-centered.

 Reform. The West Virginia public education system needs reforms now to ensure that West Virginian students have the competitive edge in a global market.

 Innovation. Constant innovation will ensure that we are producing graduates that are ready for the 21st century work environment.

 Traditional schools. Should remain in place while encouraging the emergence of innovative schools.
